Distance helped their family in Brazil accept the change. “Now they even keep track of what the next holiday coming up is, and what we’re going to do to celebrate. They try to understand our way of life and they are happy for us, that we made our own choices. The grandmothers like the part that we have many kids. Even though by Jewish law we are no longer related to them, we respect them and we maintain a good relationship.”
