What is speed dating?

Have you ever heard of speed dating? It is a new form of machmaking.
Speed dating was originally invented for young jewish people in U.S. to find and marry other jews.

In last few years different speed dating forms have become popular around the world. Every big city in the world has several agencys for organising such events.
But what is it?
Here is how it works. Around 20 singles from both sex come together in a restaurant, or another nice and comfortable place. The are all given a card and a pencil. After a short explanation of the event, women are seated down at tables with two seats, men start rotating and having mini dates with all of the women. These dates usually last from one to ten minutes. Participants can talk about anything exept their contacts. After each date both of the singles write down the number of their last date and weather or not they would like to see them again.
When everybody has had a chance to speak to every member of the opposite sex, they give their cards to the organizers and can go home.
The actual matchmaking is done on the next day. Every participant gets an email with their match or matches along with their contacts. Now it's up to them when or how continue seeing each other.
But are these short dates enough to decide weather or not you like each ohther.
Scientists have proven that it takes eight minutes to get a good first impression and most of the time it's the right one. In case you don't like your partner, you can soon move on to another. No need to wait out boring dinners and no time for awkward silence.
So far everybody has been happy and speed dating agencies are making more and more money.
Maybe you should try it out, you could find your true love!
